The AHYAA Major League baseball program is for students in 5th and  6th Grade. This league builds on the basics taught in the Junior League, and incorporates additional baseball elements such as expanded base stealing, balks, longer base paths and a pitching mound, and no limit to the number of runs scored in a given inning.
We do keep score of the games, team records and standings, and all teams will participate in the end-of-season play-offs.
Managers will select their teams via a city wide draft where there are no geographical boundaries. Unlike the lower leagues, teams will be comprised of players from the North, South & Central areas.
All parents are asked to participate in some manner (coaching, coordinating team activities, etc). Games are intended to be fun for all players, no matter what their talent level, and should serve as a foundation for all kids moving up to the Varsity level.
All bats must be "Little League" approved and the barrel size must be no larger than 2-1/4".
Registration deadline is March 15th, any sign ups after this date are subject to being placed on a waiting list and are not guaranteed to be placed on a team.
