MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL - HOUSE LEAGUE
The Minors League program is for students in 3rd and 4th Grade (formerly the Juniors League). It is an instructional league that builds on the basics taught in the Coach Pitch & Juniors Leagues. This is a player-pitch league where additional elements such as walks, strikeouts, and limited base stealing are introduced. There is a limit to the number of runs a team can score in any given inning. Full roster batting is used.
We do keep score of the games, team records, and standings, and all teams will participate in the end-of-season playoffs.
Teams are formed geographically, via a draft conducted by the League and Division Representatives. Players are distributed as equally as possible, based on evaluations.
All parents are asked to participate in some manner (coaching, coordinating team activities, field set-up, etc...). Games are intended to be fun for all players, no matter what their talent level, and should serve as a foundation for all kids moving up to the Majors level.
Bat Rule: Players may use either metal or wood bats, players must use bats imprinted with the words “Approved for Little League” or words substantially similar thereto, barrel size may not exceed 2¼ inches in diameter. Bats stamped with “USABat” will be allowed.
Registration deadline is March 1st, any sign-ups after this date are subject to being placed on a waiting list and are not guaranteed placement on a team.
