The Junior League program is for Boys or Girls in 3rd and 4th Grade. It is an instructional league that builds on the basics taught in the Coach Pitch League. This is a player-pitch league where additional elements such as walks, strikeouts, and limited base stealing are introduced. There is a limit to the number of runs a team can score in any given inning. Full roster batting is used. We do keep score of the games and keep team records and standings. Teams are formed via geography via a draft conducted by the league and division representatives. All teams participate in the end of the season playoffs.
Teams are put together by map code (north or south teams) with the players distributed as equally as possible based on evaluations. All parents are asked to participate in some manner (coaching, coordinating team activities, etc). Games are intended to be fun for all players, no matter what their talent level, and should build a foundation for all kids moving up to the Majors. All bats must be "Little League" approved and the barrel size must be no larger than 2-1/4"
